My Daughter’s School
My 6 year old daughter started kindergarten at Sawmillwoods Elementary School in Whiteland, IN. Two weeks after starting school she became ill. Asthma is what the Doctor’s said she had. The school never notified any of the parents there was a mold issue in the school. Then an article in the Daily Journal appeared about the schools mold problems. My daughters Doctor’s office called and we set her up an appointment at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.
There she was tested for several mold allergies and they all came back positive. My daughter suffered several pneumonia’s and tons of medicines later we find the school had known about the problem all along. I don’t see how they can get away without telling the parent’s there’s a problem. We had to move to another school district just so she wouldn’t be exposed to the mold the following year. We now have mold again and are fighting the apartment complex where we live. This time I’m not going to stop until they fix the problem. My daughter’s health depends on it!
