Cienowskia Reticulata (Myxomycetes – Physarales)
The reticulate (net-form) fruitbody (plasmodiocarp) is distinctive in that it has bright red dots scattered along the length of the peridium (outside wall). The spore mass is black with flecks of white, slimy knots.
This species is fairly common. It is part of the slime mold family. It is not considered harmful. It may show up in many environmental reports so it is worth mentioning.
