Boys and Girls Club Continues Mold Tests
Oshkosh, WI – The Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh continues to wait for test results for mold in its Head Start building. The club decided to test for mold after several teachers reported feeling ill.
Test results from the building are expected in the next few days, said Sue Traska, development and marketing director. The building is closed this week for spring break. “We can’t do anything yet because we don’t have the test results yet,” Traska said. “We’re waiting. We are kind of in a holding pattern.”
The Boys and Girls Club has been in constant contact with the Head Start program during the testing, Traska said. If the test results aren’t back by the time Head Start programs resume next week, the programs will be held at the Boys and Girls Club’s nearby Radford Center, Traska said.
The Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh is also testing the Radford Center as well for preventative reasons, Traska said. Officials do not suspect mold will be found in that building.
