Stachybotrys Health Hazard Devastates City Officials
Luther, OK – Black mold has forced Luther city’s leaders from their own town hall. Upon finding mycotoxin producing Stachybotrys contaminating their work quarters, city leaders had no other alternative but to close its town hall doors Tuesday morning. Test results received afterward confirmed officials’ concerns. Stachybotrys has been proven to alter DNA and destroy the myelin sheath, causing permanent neurological damage such as Lupus, Multiple Sclerosis, and even Cancer.
The problem is so severe that the city’s Police Department decided to operate from the police chief’s garage. Officials said city business is being handled from an employee’s home. Recent test results showed that the mold contamination had pervaded the building.
Luther City Council members ordered two portable buildings that officials said would be in place by next week. However, officials said that it’s hard to know for sure how long or how much it might cost to remediate the mold.
Another option is for Luther to install software on city computers and access them remotely, so the employees would no have to be exposed and the city could avoid costly remediation.
